Zion National Park Trails for People Who “Don’t Like Hiking” 🏔️
Lower Emerald Pools Waterfall Hike
✨Easy Zion walks with incredible views (without the exhausting miles)
When people picture Zion National Park, they usually imagine steep climbs, switchbacks, and all-day adventures.
And while Zion absolutely has some legendary trails for experienced hikers… 🥾🔥
You do not have to be a “hiker” to experience some of the most beautiful parts of Zion.
In fact, some of the best views in the park come from short, beginner-friendly walks that almost anyone can enjoy — including families (with strollers), kids, first-time visitors, and people who would rather admire the scenery than conquer a mountain. 😆
If you’re planning your first Zion National Park trip, these are the trails I’d recommend for someone who says:
“Yeah… I don’t really hike.” 👀
🌿 Easy Zion Trails That Are Worth Adding To Your Trip

This trail’s views left me breathless
The Riverside Walk
This is one of the best introductions to Zion because the scenery starts immediately.
You’ll walk alongside the Virgin River surrounded by towering canyon walls, making it feel like you’re experiencing the heart of Zion without a huge physical challenge.
📍 Distance: About 2 miles round trip
⛰️ Difficulty: Easy
👟 Trail surface: Mostly paved sidewalk (some broken and cracked sidewalk parts but navigable for anyone)

This is a great option for families, grandparents (I took my 80 yr old in-laws), young kids, or anyone who wants classic Zion scenery without a strenuous climb.
💧 A short trail with waterfalls and pools
Stunning views along this trail!

Pa’Rus Trail

If someone tells me they don’t hike but they still want that iconic Zion experience…
This is where I’d start.
It’s short, scenic, and gives you those unforgettable canyon views without spending your whole day on the trail.

Canyon Overlook Trail
The most insane view for a short trail
For someone who says “I’m not a hiker” but is willing to try something a little more adventurous…
There is one short trail I’d absolutely recommend.
It’s not stroller friendly, it’s not completely flat, and you’ll definitely feel like you’re doing a little more work…
BUT.
The views at the end are completely worth it. 🤯🏜️
📍 Distance: About 1 mile round trip
⛰️ Difficulty: Moderate
🥾 Expect: Some elevation gain and uneven terrain
This is the kind of trail that gives you a huge reward without requiring an entire day of hiking.
Zion Tips Before You Go 🚐🏔️
✨ Arrive early — Zion gets extremely busy, especially during peak seasons
✨ Bring water even for short walks
✨ Wear comfortable shoes (even “easy” trails have uneven spots)
✨ Check shuttle information before your visit
✨ Don’t underestimate short trails — Zion’s landscape is massive and the views are everywhere
Zion is one of those places where you don’t have to be an experienced adventurer to feel like you’re having a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Sometimes the easiest paths lead to the biggest memories. ❤️
